I gave up on the Mystery Socks. I could not get from the chart to what I know the parttern's supposed to look like. I'm usually too stubborn to give up on something like this. I knit and frogged several times and just got fed up. I don't like the look of the pattern all that much and I don't like the boring sock yarn I was using.
I found another pattern to use for the November challenge. It's called Banana Blossom Socks, by Maia Discoe. It's probably more complex than the Mystery Socks, so I don't feel quite so much like a quitter.
