I established rules for my Love Your Library adventure.
Rule 1: Do one project per month.
Rule 2: Patterns should come from books and they should be sock books. Did I have 12 books to use? This is what I pulled off of the bookshelf:
I have used some of these before, but not very many. There were several that I'd completely forgotten about. I chose Socktopus by Alice Yu for my January project.
Rule 3: I can pick any yarn I want from my stash. I spent a couple of years trying to use up my oldest yarns. I discovered that one of the reasons yarns stay in my stash for a long time is that I don't like them. I decided to use one of my brand new yarns, Monet's Garden.

Look at all of those sock books! I have many of them, but not all of those...http://mindingmyownstitches.blogspot.com/ She just finished up the Socktopus book...
Wow! That's a lot of sock books! Can't wait to see the first pair.
Tammy, thanks so much for that link to the person who just finished up Socktopus. I was glad to see that the pattern I picked was one she recommended. I also know to check Rav for errata.
Oh how fun! I'm doing some sock KALs on Ravelry this year, so I look forward to your many socks!
Good organisation and a fabulous selection of sock books. Which pattern have you settled on?
Wow! Lots to chose from there! Glad you chose and used your new yarn. If you don't like the yarn or the pattern you probably won't enjoy your knitting as much. Can't wait to see them!
