I won it in a random draw of people who finished the fifth sock in the Iron Knitter competition. The Cocoa Beach Yarn Company sponsored Iron Knitter and the latest Sock Wars. They provided a whole lot of their yarn as prizes. Thanks for your generosity, Cocoa Beach Yarn.

Does anyone know how to purchase yarn from The Cocoa Beach Yarn Company? I have sent them several messages via email with no responses. I would like to purchase the Scooby yarn for Griffindor socks.

Thanks

I did a little poking around. The yarn link on their site doesn't work. The blog hasn't been updated in over a year. The proprietor hasn't posted anything on Ravelry in a year. The last post to the Cocoa Beach Ravelry group was several months ago. The thought is that the owner quit the business.

Thanks - I found the same thing. Do you have any idea where I could buy maroon and gold sock yarn for Griffindor socks? I have looked everywhere, searched the internet and cannot find maroon yarn.

Thanks again.

I was wondering why you hadn't been able to find anything and then I went to look myself. Wow, even Knit Picks Palette didn't have anything that I would call maroon.

I did find Sunrises Yarn on Etsy:

It is a kit of both Gryffindor colors. Maybe the yarns are also available separately. Good luck!
