And one more
I’m still slogging away at the pair I started before Ravellenics. They are what kicked off bored mode.
I was going to dig out crochet hooks and cotton yarn to add to the other supplies for the mystery project. Then I pulled a pair of Addi FlexiFlips out of the mailbox and plans changed. I found a Susan B. Anderson pattern that should work great with one of the Must Stash yarns. I can’t wait to give those new needles a try.

Another finish
Lennon and McCartney, which need a bit of blocking.
The rainbow yarn pair should appear soon because they only have a toe to go.

Look, I finished something
The bad news is that there are 3 pair of socks in progress, up to 3 more being considered, and one mystery project. The last one involves a pair of flip flops I got at Target this afternoon and a pointy tool previously used for bookbinding.

Easily Bored Sock Knitter
I’m going through some kind of phase where I get bored with whatever I’m doing pretty easily.
The first of the Handmade Sock Society patterns is pretty, but it has a super simple 5 row pattern repeat.
The Girly Feeling socks are nice, but I keep regretting using the Knit Picks Bare for the main color. The yarn is too loosely spun and fuzzy. I’m too lazy to start over, though.
I got an urge to use the Must Stash yarn from last summer. The pattern I picked has a centered double decrease that I could not make look like the pictures. You would think that after knitting all these years that something like that would be simpler than this.
I’m on the second sock of all three.
While hunting for self striping patterns, I found one written specifically for yarn that’s in my stash. I happily dropped the others and started on Wonder and Madness.
The yarn is Nothing Says Screw You Like a Rainbow. Rainbow stripes alternate with white clouds in a blue sky. It is kind of fun, but maybe I’ll take a break and find pattern for those other Must Stash skeins first.

PHD: Projects Half Done
Well, some of them are done. This one's a shawl that was supposed to be for Ravellenics. I don't like how it came out so I'm not submitting it for a medal.
When I developed an attitude problem toward most of my Ravellenics projects, I went back and finished some PHDs. This is one of the Valentine's day socks. I slid it to one side so that all the cables down the center show up. They came out well. Yarn in Wollmeise, colorway So Long Kitty.
These are Curling socks. I actually did some of the knitting while watching curling. I have no idea how the game is played. I have an irrational fascination with the people sweeping the ice in front of the curling thingys.
As previously mentioned, I got tired of knitting my Sock Arms sweater. It may be done by the first anniversary of the current Ravellenics. Maybe not.
Winter Rose socks, the first pair of this year's Handmade Sock Society socks. I didn't expect them to come out stripey.
Olympia socks, the one thing I'm doing for Ravellenics that will be finished in time, I like, and should fit. The little circles between mock cables represent medals that the USA won in the games that are being played in Korea. It's going to be a marathon to finish any medals that might be won in the next 24 hours plus the toes.
What does one do when one has many projects and no interest in working on them? Start another one! This is a pattern called Girly Feeling Socks. The contrast color is supposed to change every four rows. There's no way I'm going to work in that many ends. I used a variegated yarn and like the way it is going. I think a self-striping might've been even better.

Ravellenics Day 5
I finished a hat. It's too big even for me. My cat has claimed it as a cat mat. It's too small for all of her to sleep on, but that doesn't seem to bother her. Many awards for a semi-fail project.
Oh yeah, the hat:
The sweater that was (note the use of past tense) my main project has about a half of inch of ribbing done. I got bored even faster than I expected to.
I started the shawl that was my backup project. There's not enough done to bother showing yet.
I'm keeping up with the sock knitalong that runs along with that big athletic event. I don't dare use the O-word, but you know what I mean. I thought we'd get some instruction on when and where and how many medal stitches to knit. I was wrong. I worked out a way of doing it that should be okay. Everyone is working out their own methods. Some have even worked in gold, silver, and bronze beads depending on the medal. I'll be on the foot this time next week, so pictures should appear then.

WIP Wednesday
It is less than two days until Ravellenics begins. I should have very little if anything in progress. This is what’s actually happening:
The pink socks are a Valentines Day mystery knit along. Both socks just need toes. I knew that the last clue comes out the same day as Ravellenics starts. I thought there would be plenty of time for toes. Wrong. Ravellenics begins at 0600 where I live.
The blue socks are SpillyJane’s Curling Socks. They would be fun to knit during the Winter Olympics, but there’s too much on my plate already. I didn’t want to wait until 2022 to do them. I wasn’t doing anything at the time so I cast them on. I’d forgotten something, though.
The purple socks are from a ebook I forgot buying. They come out every two months starting in February. As in four days before Ravellenics in February.
Good thing I have many duplicate dpns.
