37 balls of yarn.
They weren’t scheduled to arrive today, so guess who is three rounds into another little pillow?

Grab Bag
That was quick. The Jimmy Beans grab bag I ordered at the end of last week arrived already. I decided ahead of time that I would be satisfied if it contained colors I didn’t hate. Mission accomplished.
I expected 3 colors for some reason and ended up with only 2. Someday I’ll be happy to discover 800 yards of hot pink in my stash. The gold will be used someday, too.
There were other things besides the yarn: a series of beginner scarf patterns, a cute spring themed project bag, a set of stitch markers, and some temporary tattoos. All told, it was worth indulging myself.

More Socks???
This is my mystery project. They were created with a $3.99 pair of Target flip flops and yarn from stash.
I’m still ignoring the sweater I started last month. This leaves me with no projects! A sock pattern is coming in about a week. Yarn for two projects is on the way from the UK. It could arrive tomorrow or in two weeks, there’s no telling. I started looking through my Ravelry Favorites list and discovered a pattern I wanted was now available. Yes, the person who has more socks than she has space for is starting yet another pair. The good news is that I am using another one of the skeins of Madelinetosh I bought on a whim recently.
The bad news is Jimmy Beans Wool is having a grab bag sale on fingering. Come on, when was the last time I paid $15 for a 100 gram skein? In a grab bag where I picked the colors? And got to see a little preview of what yarns might be provided? That would be never. Come back next Stash Enhancement Saturday and see how well this turned out.

Catch Up
I've not been getting back to the computer for one reason or another. I have been knitting, so here's what I've been doing.
I got tired of working on the stripey socks so I started Covered in Bees:
I got tired of working on the stripey socks so I started Covered in Bees:
I was still tired of the stripey socks so I started a pair with the leftovers from two of the Must Stash yarns. Since one of the yarns was the same one that I was using to do the stripey socks, I was forced to finish them:
In the works in one way or another:
- Leftover socks. Half a sock to go
- Handmade Sock Society #2. Pattern's about two weeks away. Yarn has been chosen. It is pink.
- Mystery project. About to dig the yarn out for it. Will begin once the Leftovers are done.
- Birds or Trees pillow. I found a cool double knit pattern for a pillow with a bird and a stylized tree on it. Pattern proceeds are for charity, so that's one bonus. I often have odd reasons for doing projects. The reason for this one is that in the little town I live in, half of the streets are named after birds and the other half after trees. This amuses me. I live on the tree side on the only road that isn't named for either.
- Yet another crocheted blankie. I've been eyeing a pattern but have not committed to it yet.

Still another one done
Winter Roses, the first of the patterns from Handmade Sock Society.
This leaves only the sweater that I’m ignoring and the Smooth Operator Socks. They are the ones I’m doing with the Addi FlexiFlips needles.
I haven’t decided whether or not I like them. I’m knitting more slowly with them, but that could be part of learning something new. It took a couple of inches before I stopped losing stitches from one end or the other. That could be because of the number of stitches, too (72 total). My knitting is more even than usual. That could be from having to slow down. It could also be from the needles.
I am sure that I like the yarn. It is from Must Stash’s Beatlemania collection.

And one more
I’m still slogging away at the pair I started before Ravellenics. They are what kicked off bored mode.
I was going to dig out crochet hooks and cotton yarn to add to the other supplies for the mystery project. Then I pulled a pair of Addi FlexiFlips out of the mailbox and plans changed. I found a Susan B. Anderson pattern that should work great with one of the Must Stash yarns. I can’t wait to give those new needles a try.

Another finish
Lennon and McCartney, which need a bit of blocking.
The rainbow yarn pair should appear soon because they only have a toe to go.

Look, I finished something
The bad news is that there are 3 pair of socks in progress, up to 3 more being considered, and one mystery project. The last one involves a pair of flip flops I got at Target this afternoon and a pointy tool previously used for bookbinding.

Easily Bored Sock Knitter
I’m going through some kind of phase where I get bored with whatever I’m doing pretty easily.
The first of the Handmade Sock Society patterns is pretty, but it has a super simple 5 row pattern repeat.
The Girly Feeling socks are nice, but I keep regretting using the Knit Picks Bare for the main color. The yarn is too loosely spun and fuzzy. I’m too lazy to start over, though.
I got an urge to use the Must Stash yarn from last summer. The pattern I picked has a centered double decrease that I could not make look like the pictures. You would think that after knitting all these years that something like that would be simpler than this.
I’m on the second sock of all three.
While hunting for self striping patterns, I found one written specifically for yarn that’s in my stash. I happily dropped the others and started on Wonder and Madness.
The yarn is Nothing Says Screw You Like a Rainbow. Rainbow stripes alternate with white clouds in a blue sky. It is kind of fun, but maybe I’ll take a break and find pattern for those other Must Stash skeins first.
