I haven't been posting because I've been knitting. And frogging. And knitting. And frogging again. The problem is usually picking the wrong sort of yarn for the pattern. Either the yarn has too many color changes or there's just not enough of it. I try to fake my way around these problems. Either way, I end up in the frog pond.
I decided to take a break from socks to see if that would help. It kind of did. The Yarn Harlot will be at Knitch in Atlanta next month and I got a ticket to go. They are collecting chemo caps at the event, so I thought I'd make some. The ones I made out of cotton blend and cashmere blend yarns seem fine. The one I did out of maize (yarn made from corn) is a no-go. I can't imagine that anyone would want something like that against their head. It's cute, though.
I'm back to socks for the moment. I couldn't resist the cabley goodness that is Saito in the Spring 2008 Knitty. I'm using yarn from a previous failed sock. I'm just unravelling and reknitting it as I go.
I <3 my KnitPicks Harmony DPNs.
