I wanted some clear shoes. Clogs would be good. High-top sneakers would be cute. The ones I've seen are too much for me to consider spending right now. I read someplace that Target had clear Mary Janes that weren't too much. I checked out their website. Yes, they had them for $8.99.
Since the closest store to my house is a SuperTarget, I decided to go there. Lookie what I found: clear Mary Janes on sale for $6.28! And they have glitter suspended in the vinyl. I don't even mind the checkout person commenting that they'd really show dirt easily. Gee whiz, they'd be so easy to clean off if they got dirty. ::rolling eyes::
I'm attempting to end this fraking dance marathon with Sir Frogsalot. I'm 3/4 done with a pair of Entrelac Socks that I'm knitting with some Noro sock yarn. Did I post about this already? Where am I? What planet is this? I like being able to post directly from Flickr where my pictures live, but it is disorienting sometimes.

Greetings from the Frog Pond
I haven't been posting because I've been knitting. And frogging. And knitting. And frogging again. The problem is usually picking the wrong sort of yarn for the pattern. Either the yarn has too many color changes or there's just not enough of it. I try to fake my way around these problems. Either way, I end up in the frog pond.
I decided to take a break from socks to see if that would help. It kind of did. The Yarn Harlot will be at Knitch in Atlanta next month and I got a ticket to go. They are collecting chemo caps at the event, so I thought I'd make some. The ones I made out of cotton blend and cashmere blend yarns seem fine. The one I did out of maize (yarn made from corn) is a no-go. I can't imagine that anyone would want something like that against their head. It's cute, though.
I'm back to socks for the moment. I couldn't resist the cabley goodness that is Saito in the Spring 2008 Knitty. I'm using yarn from a previous failed sock. I'm just unravelling and reknitting it as I go.

Project Bag Karrie style
My Scavenger Hunt Swap pals are responsible for me making yet another sock project tote. Karrie substituted a round bottom for the bag for the square one I did. I used the funny knitting chicken fabric that Frieda sent me to make it. The hardest part about it was finding something 8" in diameter to trace.
I added the variation to the bag instructions.
