A not good day

I'm going through a phase with my knitting. I'm keeping up with the squares in the mystery afghan KAL but not much else. Double knitting in laceweight may look cool, but it takes so freaking long to do. I tried converting a mitten pattern to socks and it didn't work out. I finally picked up some sock yarn from the use it or lose it jar and starting making squares on my little Weave-It loom. I don't know what to do with them, but it is using up some yarn and it's pretty mindless work.

Part of the problem has been an old sick cat. I've known for the past couple of weeks that she wasn't going to be around much longer. I wanted to be able to drop everything and get her whatever she wanted whenever she wanted it. Misty's kidneys failed and she was euthanized this morning.

I am very sad.
